PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
• Customer or end-user is advisable to contract with local HVAC contractor for
Preventive and Maintenance on the equipment on a weekly basis. This is to ensure
the equipment is performed optimumally and avoid down time in your process.
• There are no lubrication points on the chiller. All motors have permanent lubrication in
the bearings. All motors have internal overloaded protection otherwise; external
overload is installed for non-overloaded motor.
• The chilled water requires no special water treatment, except that de-ionized water
CANNOT be used. The water should be clean and some type of water conditioner may
be added. Additive or solution added to the chilled water circuit MUST be copper or
brass friendly, as it could not damage the copper Heat Exchanger. THIS INCLUDES
THE USE OF DEIONIZED WATER.
• The air cooled condenser should be cleaned on a regular basis, depending on the
environment the chiller is installed in. It is recommended for visual inspection monthly.
• Water level should be checked weekly to ensure the proper level is obtained. Water
will evaporate at certain atmospheric condition. Low level alarm will not damage
refrigeration system; however, it will stop the equipment from operating. As the result
the efficiency of the equipment is decreased. Should the water become rusty or
contaminated due to foreign materials, we suggest you to flush the system and
reservoir.
• Wear and tear occurs on every mechanical component, it is recommended to have a
quarterly inspection on the equipment by a technician who is capable and
knowledgeable about the machine.
• Caution: During operation, the compressor, receiver, fan motor and water pump could
be hot enough to injure from one touching these components. DO NOT OPEN THE
DOOR WHEN THE UNIT IS IN OPERATION.
• The solid state controller reads discharge & return temperature.
• The equipment is equipped with hermetically sealed compressor. There are no
necessary maintenance requirements. Please read the service bulletins before making
any repairs.
