IMPORTANT
: Please read carefully before installation and retain for future reference
To prevent possible shock hazard, the fixture should be installed by a qualified licensed electrician.
All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances and National Electrical Code.
The use of safety protection such as safety eye glasses and protective gloves are recommended
Proper grounding of the fixture is essential for protection from shock, correct operation and the elimination of electrical
interference.
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. TURN OFF MAIN POWER SOURCE BEFORE SERVICE
INSTALLATION STEPS:
1- Open access cover 1 by unsnapping the latch 2 and allow access cover 1 to dangle *
ATTENTION: Do not remove the access cover 1 once mounted on arm it may be difficult to replace
2- Slip the fixture onto arm
ATTENTION: Loosening of the [4] bolts on the arm bracket 3 may be required
• Using the different arm rest levels on the base 4 rest the arm on the proper rib to level the fixture.
Ribs allow fixture to be adjusted in 2-1/2° increments +5° +2 1/2° 0° -2 1/2° -5°
3- Level fixture and tighten the [4] bolts on the bracket 3 in a ‘star’ pattern until fixture is secured on arm [
15 ft/lb [20.3 Nm] suggested
]
4- Connect source wires to terminal block 5 as shown in wiring schematic
• Wiring instructions are also available on a label on the surface of the access cover 1 .
• CONNECT THE SOURCE GROUND WIRE TO TERMINAL
• CONNECT THE SOURCE NEUTRAL/LIVE2 WIRE TO TERMINAL - "N" or “L2”
• CONNECT THE SOURCE LIVE/LIVE1 WIRE TO TERMINAL - "L" or “L1”
ENSURE ALL WIRE TERMINAL SCREWS ARE TIGHTENED
WARNING: 480 VAC FIXTURES CAN NOT BE CONNECTED TO SINGLE PHASE
5- Once source wires are connected, restore power and check for illumination
CAUTION
: Do not look directly into fixture once powered and lit. Use protective shaded eye wear when viewing
6- Close the access cover 1 re-engage and snap the latch 2 closed. *
* in some designs the removal and re-attachment of security screw is required
