General Description:
Multi-Gard Galvanized Steel is a multiple celled raceway system for bridge
applications and other areas requiring heavy duty protection with smooth wall
PVC pre-lubed innerducts installed in 10 foot galvanized steel straight sections. A
wide range of fixed and flexible bends are manufactured using "cutthrough"
resistant innerduct to avoid pull line cutting during cable pulling.
Features:
• PVC innerducts are prelubricated for very low coefficient of friction and lay
straight for long pulls.
• Preinstalled reverse spin coupling allows coupling MultiGard together
without turning pipe.
• 3 set screws keep coupling from backing off, before and after installation.
• Available in 4cell 1-1/4" or 3cell 1-1/2" nominal l.D.
• Standard sweeps and terminators.
• Patented flexible bend.
• Conforms to NEC 96 Article 30022 for installation of communication
cables inside buildings.
• All bends have "cutthrough" resistant innerducts in bends to avoid rope
cutting into adjacent occupied innerduct.
• Accessories such as pull line and line blowing kits available.
• Gasketed coupling body and PVC innerducts are designed to handle
jetting equipment or line blowing.
Assembly Instructions:
The MultiGard Galvanized Steel System is designed for easy assembly as
follows:
1. Remove cap and loosen set screws on coupling. Spin back to allow for
insertion.
2. Insert male into female end and spin coupling forward to bottom out.
3. Check for alignment of marked innerduct and marked hole.
4. Tighten set screws.
