Thank you for purchasing this Canon product. Please read these
instructions carefully for a thorough understanding of how the
camera operates.

Loading the Batteries
This camera uses two AA-size alkaline batteries.
• Align the + and – terminals correctly.
• Do not use nickel-cadmium or lithium batteries.
When blinks on the LCD panel when you switch the
camera on, replace batteries with new ones.

Loading the Film
Use DX-coded ISO 100 or 400 film. The camera automatically
detects the film speed and selects the correct setting.
• Position the film correctly between the film guides.
• Make sure that there is no slack in the film when you pull it
out.
• If “1” is not displayed in the frame counter, reload the film.
3 Taking Pictures
Stand at least 1.2 m (3.9 ft.) from the subject to be taken.
At the end of the roll, the camera rewinds the film
automatically and the film indicator blinks on the LCD panel.
• When you hold the camera, take care to keep your fingers,
your hair and the strap away from the lens, light-metering
sensor and flash.

Selecting Flash Mode
Press the flash mode button to select the desired one among
the followings:
Auto Flash (No icon):
In low light conditions, the flash fires automatically.
↓
Flash ON (Fires for all shots):
The flash fires regardless of the light conditions when the
picture is taken.
↓
Flash OFF (Never fires):
The flash does not fire regardless of how dark conditions are
when the picture is taken.
• When using flash continuously, wait until the flash ready
lamp turns on and the flash is fully charged for the next
picture.
• This camera is equipped with “Red-eye Reduction Function”,
which minimizes the “red-eye” effect occurring frequently
with flash photography in low light conditions.

Using Self-timer
• The self-timer lamp blinks for 8 sec., then lights up for 2 sec.
before the shutter is released.
• To cancel the self-timer, turn the camera off.

Installation des piles
Cet appareil utilise deux piles alkalines de format AA.
• Orientez les polarités + et – correctement.
• N’utilisez jamais de piles au nickel-cadmium ou au lithium.
Si clignote sur le panneau LCD quand vous mettez
l’appareil sous tension, remplacez les piles par des neuves.

Chargement du film
Utilisez des films codés DX ISO 100 ou 400. L’appareil
détecte automatiquement la sensibilité du film et sélectionne
le réglage approprié.
• Installez le film correctement entre les guides de film.
• Assurez-vous que le film est bien tendu quand vous le tirez.
• Si “1” n’apparaît pas dans le compteur de vues,
recommencez la procédure de chargement du film.

Prise de vue
Placez-vous à au moins 1,2 m du sujet que vous désirez
photographier.
Le film se rembobine automatiquement lorsqu’il est à la fin, et
l’indicateur de cartouche de film clignote sur le panneau LCD.
• Quand vous tenez l’appareil, faites attention à ce que vos
doigts, vos cheveux et la dragonne n’obstruent pas l’objectif,
le capteur de posemètre et le flash.

Sélection du mode flash
Appuyez sur la touche de mode flash pour sélectionner un
mode parmi les options suivantes:
Flash-auto (Sans symbole):
En conditions d’éclairage insuffisantes, le flash s’enclenche
automatiquement.
↓
Flash activé (flash forcé):
Le flash s’enclenche quelles que soient les conditions
d’éclairage dans lesquelles la photographie est prise.
↓
Flash débrayé (flash supprimé):
Le flash ne s’enclenche pas, même si les conditions
d’éclairage sont insuffisantes.
• Si le flash est utilisé en continu, attendez que le témoin de
chargement du flash s’allume et que le flash soit
entièrement rechargé avant de prendre la photo suivante.
• Cet appareil photo est équipé d’une “Fonction d’atténuation
d’yeux rouges” qui atténue l’effet d’yeux rouges
apparaissant fréquemment lors de la photographie au flash
dans des conditions de faible éclairage.

Utilisation du retardateur
• Le témoin de retardateur s’allume pendant 8 secondes, puis
reste allumé pendant 2 secondes avant l’enclenchement de
l’obturateur.
• Pour annuler le retardateur, mettez l’appareil hors tension.

Zunächst einmal vielen Dank für den Kauf dieses Canon-Produkts.
Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung bitte aufmerksam durch, um
sich mit den Funktionen der Kamera vertraut zu machen.
1 Einlegen der Batterien
Diese Kamera wird von zwei AA-Batterien mit Strom versorgt.
• Richten Sie die Batteriepole + und – korrekt aus.
• Verwenden Sie keine Nickel-Kadmium- oder Lithiumakkus.
Wenn beim Einschalten der Kamera auf dem Display
blinkt, müssen die Batterien durch neue ersetzt werden.
2 Einlegen des Films
Verwenden Sie DX-Film (ISO 100 oder 400). Die Kamera
erkennt die Filmempfindlichkeit automatisch und stellt sich
entsprechend ein.
• Legen Sie den Film korrekt zwischen den Filmführungen
ein.
• Der Film muss straff anliegen und darf nicht zu weit
herausgezogen werden.
• Wenn “1” nicht im Bildzählwerk angezeigt wird, muss der
Film noch einmal eingelegt werden.
3 Fotografieren
Gehen Sie nicht näher als 1,2 m an das Motiv heran.
Wenn das Ende der Filmrolle erreicht ist, wird der Film
automatisch zurückgespult, wonach die Filmanzeige auf dem
Display blinkt.
• Halten Sie die Kamera beim Fotografieren so, dass Objektiv,
Lichtmesszelle und Blitz nicht von Fingern, Haaren oder
dem Riemen verdeckt werden.
4 Auswählen der Blitzbetriebsart
Drücken Sie die Blitzbetriebsart-Taste, um eine der folgenden
Betriebsarten auszuwählen:
Blitzautomatik (kein Symbol):
Der Blitz wird bei schwachem Umlicht automatisch ausgelöst.
↓
Blitz EIN (Blitz bei jeder Aufnahme):
Der Blitz wird unabhängig von den Lichtverhältnissen bei
jeder Aufnahme ausgelöst.
↓
Blitz AUS (Blitz abgeschaltet):
Der Blitz wird auch bei schwachem Umlicht nicht ausgelöst.
• Bei aufeinanderfolgenden Blitzaufnahmen warten Sie, bis
die Blitzbereitschaftslampe leuchtet und der Blitz geladen
ist, bevor Sie die nächste Aufnahme machen.
• Diese Kamera ist mit einer “Rote-Augen-
Reduzierungsfunktion” ausgestattet, die den “Rote-Augen-
Effekt”, der sich bei Blitzaufnahmen in schwachem Licht oft
bemerkbar macht, wirkungsvoll minimiert.

Fotografieren mit Selbstauslöser
• Die Selbstauslöserlampe blinkt zunächst 8 Sekunden und
leuchtet dann zwei Sekunden vor dem Auslösen des
Verschlusses kontinuierlich.
• Zum Abstellen des gestarteten Selbstauslösers schalten Sie
die Kamera aus.
