Problem Action
A wireless client wants
to connect to the ASUS
WL-330N but can not
get the correct IP from
the DHCP server. (The
ASUS WL-330N has an
enabled DHCP.)
Make sure the DHCP server is working properly.
Some DHCP servers can only assign one IP address
at a time. In this case, assign a fixed IP address to
your ASUS WL-330N.
Cannot connect to the
Internet for a new MAC
address.
MAC (Media Access Control) is a unique identifier that
identifies your computer or device in the network. ISPs
monitor the MAC addresses of devices that connect to
their services, and would disallow Internet connection
for new MAC addresses. To fix this issue, you can do
either of the following:
• Contact your ISP and request to update the MAC
address associated with your ISP subscription.
• Clone or change the MAC address of the new
device to match the MAC address of the original
device.
