Page 3: Attention, Give these instructions to building owner

Install bottom adjusting screw through bottom rod
(Figure 2).
With top latch bolt still retracted,
adjust bottom rod so latch bolt
clears floor and bottom strike.
Turn bottom locking screw in. Do not
over-tighten.
ADJUST RODS
Open door and release top latch bolt as shown
(Figure 1).
Loosen bottom locking screw (Figure 2).
Disconnect bottom vertical rod by
removing bottom adjusting screw.
Loosen top locking screw.
Rotate top adjusting screw clockwise until top latch bolt
is fully extended (Figure 1).
Check top latch bolt for deadlocking (latch bolt should
not push in).
Turn top locking screw in. Do not
over-tighten.
Depress pushbar and release.
Make sure top latch bolt stays retracted as shown.

Check device operation by opening and closing door
several times from the outside.
Redo adjustment procedure if :
- Top latch bolt is not held retracted
- Bottom latch bolt does not clear
floor and bottom strike

This product is not intended to detain or prevent exit,
but to delay egress for not more than 15 seconds in
accordance with NFPA 101 requirements for special
locking arrangements.
The signal switch inside the device is pre-set at the factory. Tampering with
this switch can cause the basic exit features of this device to fail in an
emergency.
There are no user serviceable parts in the electronic
module or in the delay mechanism. Consult factory
for repair of these components.
1. The electronic delay module is located in a separate
box and must be installed by an electrician.
2. Check door size carefully before cutting device and
cover. refer to back page of instruction for dimensions.
3. Device should be tested periodically for proper
function and moving parts should be lubricated
semiannually.
