Technical Notes

Over Temperature Protection
To ensure reliability and avoid damage to internal components
the PMQ7250 Series incorporates over temperature protection
circuitry. When the temperature of the PCB gets above 121ºC
the over temperature protection circuit will be enabled and the
module will stop working. When the temperature of the
temperature tested component (T

REF

) is below 109ºC the

protection circuit will be disabled and the module will
automatically recover from shutdown. To avoid permanent
damage to components the surface temperature of MOSFET
(T

REF

) should be kept below 110ºC.

Temperature Reference point shown above. This may
operate if unit is operated in a permanent over load
condition or if ambient temperature conditions are too
high.
