3. Apply adhesive promoter to frame, where bracket will be attached.
4. Peel Red backing from 3M adhesive on rear bracket and stick to frame.
5. Drill (2) 3/16” holes through bracket into frame and install both lag bolts.
6. Drill 9/64” pilot hole for body screw and install body screw with flat nut.
Lake Pipe to bracket mounting:
1. Set “Lake Pipe” on brackets where installation is desired. Align rear of pipe with edge of rear wheel well
opening. Make sure the rear of the Lake Pipe is not touching the car. It should be about 0.25” away from body.
2. Once desired location is achieved, mark Lake Pipe for drilling mounting screws.
3. Use center punch to insure holes are drilled in exactly the right spot.
4. Drill (4) marked 9/64” holes through Lake Pipe for mounting to brackets, with supplied cobalt drill bit.
5. Clean fender with rubbing alcohol.
6. Apply adhesive promoter to fender.
7. Peel Red backing from 3M adhesive on Lake Pipe Dress-Up Trim Plate.
8. Using a scratch-all align drilled holes with bracket holes and press “Lake Pipe” to fender. Be sure to take your
time and do it right the first time. The 3M adhesive is very strong and will create a very strong bond to the front
fender, which will make adjustments very difficult.
9. Install (4) mounting screws through bracket into Lake Pipe.
10. Once all (4) mounting screws are installed into “Lake Pipe” through mounting bracket, drill third, center pilot
hole through mounting bracket into “Lake Pipe” and install screw. This third screw will create the bind needed to
insure that none of the mounting screws rattle loose under normal driving conditions.
11. Repeat entire process for the other side.
