This new rocker panel kit is not a common rocker kit but a true custom body panel upgrade.
Due to this fact professional installation is highly recommended for the best results.

1. IMPORTANT: The first step for a nice installation will be to thoroughly clean the body

areas with a suitable cleaner and solvent to remove dirt and grime as well as wax and or
paint sealants. It is especially important to clean the underside of the body rocker as
well as the door jams and door rim areas. Once all these areas are thoroughly scrubbed
clean swipe all the door gaps and jam areas with the adhesive promoter provided.

2. You have been provided with several lengths and thickness of a high performance flat

black body graphic vinyl. This material will be used to color the door gaps and lower
rocker areas to provide the best overall look. If you have a black or dark color Camaro,
application of this vinyl will not be necessary. Your kit has two thick lengths of vinyl.
These two lengths are to be applied to the body’s lower rocker areas. The remaining
vinyl sections need to be applied to the door rims as well as the inner door jamb areas
closest to the outer edges. All the vinyl should be applied dry and should be done by a
level five body graphic installer or vehicle rapper.

3. Now that all the gaps and lower rocker areas have been coated with the high

performance vinyl you can now apply the stainless sections. The first one to-do will be
the door, before you permanently stick the door section practice placing it in position a
couple of times to familiarize yourself with just how you will set the panel in place. The
adhesive of all the sections is very aggressive and will not allow you to reposition the
sections once it makes contact so go slow and sure. When you are ready peel the red
release liner from the back of the panel and then carefully set it in place pressing firmly
along its length with a micro fiber or terry cloth. The black vinyl applied earlier should
pass the stainless edges and will be trimmed later.

4. The next section will be the large main section and is the single most critical part of the

entire installation. It is very important to understand that you will be taking some
unorthodox steps in order to force the new panel to conform to the body. The first thing
you will notice is that the rear quarter panel has a compound shape to it and under
normal circumstances a rocker panel of this type would not be manufactured due to this
type of shape however it is possible to hand form the new panel along with some other
steps to allow you to achieve a nice contoured fitment. With this understood we can
now begin the application. Because this section is so long it would be very helpful to
have a friend help you manipulate the section. This will help prevent an inaccurate set
and or false contact. Set the section in position on the car to get acquainted with its
position and also to rehearse the placement of the section. Do this a couple of times and
look very closely at its set position at the door gap area as well as the front end position.
