9301 Input/Outputs
The 9301 provides the following video inputs and outputs:
•
Inputs:
•
AES I/O (1-4)
– user-switchable as AES inputs or AES outputs
•
AES IN (5-8)
– dedicated AES inputs
•
Outputs:
•
AES I/O (1-4)
– user-switchable as AES inputs or AES outputs
•
AES OUT (1-8)
– dedicated AES outputs
Note:
The input/output complement listed above represents the maximum capability
of the 9301. The practical input/output complement is determined by the par-
ticular Rear I/O Module used with the 9301. Refer to 9301 Rear I/O Modules
(p. 1-15) for more information.
AES Audio Input Format
The 9301 accepts up to 16 channels (8 pairs) of discrete AES audio on
75-ohm BNC connections per AES-3id/SMPTE276M. The AES must have a
nominal rate of approximately 48 kHz. Sample rate conversion can be
employed to account for minor clock rate differences in the AES stream and
an external reference (if used). However, the 9301 does not support AES
input at 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 96 kHz or 192 kHz rates.
AES Audio Output Format
The 9301 provides up to 16 channels (8 pairs) of discrete AES audio on
75-ohm BNC connections per AES-3id/SMPTE276M. The output clock rate
of each pair is precisely locked to input AES timing, frame reference timing,
or the card’s internal independent timing.
