KJ03004 Jeep ZJ Rear Control Arm Bushing Kit 1993-1998








Installation Instructions


1. Read all instructions completely and check the Bill of Materials before beginning the installation.
2. Raise and support the vehicle with jack stands in front of the rear leaf spring perches so that the tires just touch

the ground.

3. Remove one control arm at a time noting its position and how it is installed. On the upper control arms you will

have to remove the E-brake cables.

4. Remove the factory rubber bushings by burning out the centers with a suitable propane or acetylene torch. DO

NOT damage the outer shells, as they will be reused.

5. Clean the outer shells with a suitable tool so that they are free and clear of any debris.
6. Using the supplied Daystar Lubrathane, install the corresponding bushing, thrust washer, and steel sleeve into the

control arm sleeve per the figures below.

7. Reinstall the control arm into the position from which it was removed and torque to factory specifications.
8. Repeat this for the other three control arms.
9. Recheck all bolts and re-torque after 500 miles.

that could cause loss of control, possibly leading to a roll over or other accident that could result in serious injury or death to driver
and passengers. If larger tires are installed the speedometer will read lower than the vehicle’s actual speed.

DRIVE WITH CARE, REDUCE SPEED AND WEAR SEAT BELTS AT ALL TIMES.

This kit should be installed by a professional mechanic.
