1.
Layout all parts and check quantities against the Bill of Materials. Completely read
instructions before beginning installation.
2.
Jack the front of the vehicle in accordance to manufacturer recommendation and
support with jack stands, so that the front two tires are off the ground
3.
Remove the front tires/wheels.
4.
Remove sway bar end link.
5.
Remove upper ball joint nut and remove spindle from upper A-arm.
6.
Remove upper strut nuts on the strut tower (3) on each side of vehicle that holds strut
assembly to the strut tower (Hint: Leave one nut on to prevent the strut from dropping
out in the next step.)
7.
Remove lower strut bolt from the lower control arm and remove the strut assembly from
vehicle. (Note the direction of the bolt for reinstallation) (Figure 1).
CAUTION: THE STRUT ASSEMBLY WILL DROP A LITTLE
8.
Place M03676 spacer on top of strut assembly. Tighten spacer on to strut assembly using OE 10mm nuts.
9.
Rotate the strut assembly 180° so that the posts on the M03676 spacer align properly to the mounting holes used by the OE
strut assembly.
10.
Install the strut assembly into the strut tower and start the upper three 3/8” nuts & washers. (Make sure that the bottom of
the strut is aligned as well)
11.
Install the lower strut bolt in the original position that it was removed.
12.
Using the floor jack, raise the lower control arm and connect the upper ball joint on the upper control arm to the spindle.
Torque per OEM specifications.
13.
Reconnect the sway bar end links. Torque per OEM specifications.
14.
Install the front tires/wheels.
15.
Lower the vehicle onto the ground and tighten the upper strut tower nuts. (3 on each side).
16.
Torque all bolts to factory specifications.
17.
Have wheel alignment done after installation.
18.
Re-torque all bolts after 500 miles.
WARNING
This vehicle has been modified to enhance its performance. The steering, braking and handling of this vehicle will
differ from standard passenger cars and trucks; this vehicle handles differently from an ordinary vehicle in driving
conditions which may occur on streets, highways and off road.
Avoid unnecessary abrupt maneuvers, sudden stops, sharp turns and other driving conditions that could cause
loss of control, possibly leading to a roll over or other accident that could result in serious injury or death to driver and
passengers. If larger tires are installed the speedometer will read lower than the vehicles actual speed.
DRIVE WITH CARE, REDUCE SPEED
AND WEAR SEAT BELTS AT ALL TIMES.
This kit should be installed by a professional mechanic.
