6 Select the time zone if the DVD Recorder is tuned to
the PBS channel of a different time zone than yours.
7 Confirm each entry with ENTER/OK.
8 To end, press SYSTEM MENU repeatedly to
remove the menus.
➤ The time and date will be set by the specified
channel the next time you switch to Standby power
mode.
➤ The DVD Recorder downloads from the specified
channel, if possible. If the specified channel does not
carry date and time information, the message appears
‘Clock not set.’
The Automatic Time and Date screen will reappear
automatically. You can repeat the procedure with a
new channel number.
Time/Date Manually
If the time in the DVD Recorder display is not correct, the
clock must be set manually.
1 In the installation menu, select Time/Date with w/v
(down/up cursor), then press u (right cursor).
➤ The Automatic/Manual screen is displayed, with the
cursor on the currently selected option.
2 Press the w (down cursor) to select ‘Manual.’
3 Press ENTER/OK.
➤ The Time/Date screen appears.
4 Adjust ‘Time,’ ‘AM/PM,’ ‘Year,’ ‘Month,’ ‘Date,’ and ‘Day-
light saving’ if required. Select w/v (down/up cursor).
Change values with t/u (left/right cursor) or the 0-9
digit buttons.
5 When the information is all correct, press ENTER/
OK.
6 Press SYSTEM MENU repeatedly to remove all
menus.
Cable/Antenna
The Cable/Antenna option allows you to overrule the
Auto Cable Defect feature in case misdetection took
place.
1 In the Installation menu, select ‘Cable/Antenna’ with
w/v (down/up cursor), then press ENTER/OK or u
(right cursor).
➤ The Cable/Antenna’ screen is displayed.
2 Select ‘Cable’ or ‘Anten.’ using t/u (left/right cursor).
Factory setting is ‘Auto.’
3 Press ENTER/OK to store the setting.
4 Press SYSTEM MENU to exit the Cable/Antenna
menu.
➤ If you have selected ‘Cable’ or ‘Anten.,’ the Auto
Channel Search starts. Only after a new channel
search, the new setting will take effect.
5 Press ENTER/OK to confirm. If you press SYSTEM
MENU, you will return to the Installation menu.
When Auto Channel Search is complete, press SYSTEM
MENU repeatedly to remove all menus.
