Replacing Your Tire Gauge Chuck
The existing tire chuck is a simple push on fitting with the exception of gauges 0-100 psi and above or quick fill.
Remove old chuck and ferrule by cutting the hose at the end of the ferrule and pulling the hose off of the
barbed fitting. You may need to cut the tip of the hose further to clean up the inside diameter.
Once the end of the hose is cleaned up it is best to use some sort of fast evaporating lubricant to aid the
insertion of the new chuck. Rubbing alcohol or lacquer thinner work well.
Slide the new ferrule over the tip of the hose and then firmly push the barb end of the chuck into the hose.
The chuck should be pushed flush with the ferrule.
