8. With the side gear installed now insert the spool locker. Align the outer teeth of the spool locker with the
differential assembly and the inner teeth with the side gear.
9. Once the spool locker has been installed, reinstall the washer concave spring washer, and spring seal.
Install diff cap and torque each bolt to 25ft lbs of torque.
Note: Use LockTite on all bolts before they are torqued.
10. Now repeat the steps for the ring gear side. Once the spool locker and other components are installed
torque the ring gear bolts to 36ft of torque.
Note: Use LockTite on all bolts before they are torqued.
11. Place the differential assembly back into the differential case. Making sure to reinstall OE washers on
both the ring gear and differential sides.
12. Place other half of the differential case over the assembly and close.
Torque: 10mm bolt (36lbf) 8mm bolt (19lbf)
Note: Use LockTite on all bolts before they are torqued.
When sealing the differential case use a solvent less silicone (It is used for motorcycle snowmobile,
watercraft.)
