3.) Copy the new Sound Manager driver into the Extension folder.
4.) Restart your computer.
IMPORTANT: You MUST restart your computer after doing this for the
new driver to be properly installed.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that only one copy of the driver is
installed in the Extensions folder. Any older versions should be removed
from the folder before you install a new driver.

IMPORTANT: A preferences file is created for the card in the Preferences
folder inside the System folder every time you first install a new driver
and then restart your computer. For proper installation, you MUST
remove both the file called "MM2044 Preferences" in the Preferences fold-
er and the older driver in the Extensions folder.

ASIO Driver Installation for Cubase

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are using Cubase and want to install the
ASIO driver you MUST also install the Sound Manager Driver men-
tioned above. So please refer to the section above, and make sure that
the Sound Manager driver is properly installed before you continue on
with the ASIO driver installation.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you are using the 2044 ASIO driver and Cubase
you MUST do the following after you have installed the Apple Sound
Manager Driver as mentioned above: Go into the Sound Control Panel
and make sure that the DMAN2044 is NOT selected as either the record
or playback device. You should probably set the playback and record
devices to "Built-in". If mistakenly, the DMAN 2044 is set up as the play-
back or record device in the Sound Control Panel, the Mac attempts to
establish two sets of resources for the DMAN 2044 and the sound perfor-
mance of the card will be compromised.

If you are using Cubase you will need to install the appropriate ASIO
driver which is also included on the DMAN2044 driver disk. To do this,
the correct ASIO driver needs to be put into the ASIO folder of the
Cubase program. This ASIO folder is usually located in the Cubase
Application folder.

There are two ASIO drivers on the driver disk. One is entitled ASIO 2044
v3. This version is to be used if you are using any 3.xx version of
Cubase. The other is entitled ASIO 2044 v4, and it is to be used if you're
using any 4.xx version of Cubase. If you are using Cubase VST version
3.xx, drag ASIO 2044 v3 into the ASIO folder inside of the main Cubase
