4 Intended
use
The routers are designed for routing wood, plas-
tics and materials similar to wood. The routing
tools included in Festool sales documents are
also suitable for routing aluminium and plaster-
board.
The user bears the responsibility for damage and
accidents caused by improper use.
5 Safety

5.1 General safety instructions

The term „power tool“ in the warnings refers to
your mains-operated (corded) power tool or bat-
tery-operated (cordless) power tool.
5.2 Machine-related safety instructions
- Hold power tool by insulated gripping sur-
faces, because the cutter may contact its own
cord. Cutting a “”live”” wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool “”live”” and could
give the operator an electric shock.
- Use clamps or another practical way to secure
and support the workpiece to a stable plat-
form. Holding the work by your hand or against
