Installation and Operating Instructions

Radiant panel heater

1. Important Information

Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on to
possible future owners.

• Use device for room heating within enclosed rooms only.

• Repairs and corrective measures may only be carried out by

a qualified technician.

• Disconnect the power supply in the event of fault (discon-

nect the device plug or switch off the fuse).

• Do not use this device next to a bathtub, shower, washbasin

or swimming pool.

• The device carries the symbol shown on the right,

which indicates that the heating device must under
no circumstances be covered with any objects.

• Caution! The outer surfaces of the device, and in

particular the air outlet grid, become hot during operation.

• Children or persons who are not capable of operating the

heating device safely must not operate it. Ensure that child-
ren do not play with the device.

• Caution! Potential dangers can arise when the device swit-

ches on automatically, e.g. devices which have been cover-
ed or blocked by objects since they were last used could
cause fires.

• The heating device must not be operated in rooms where

highly flammable substances are used (e.g. solvents, etc.).

• Do not lay the connecting cable across the hot device.

2. Installation

The heating device may only be installed as shown, i.e. on a
horizontal, even surface. Use on deep-pile carpets is not per-
mitted. Please exercise caution when installing it in front of
flammable objects. Installation below a wall socket is not per-
missible. Minimum clearances must be observed.

In addition, a minimum clearance of 500 mm must be maintai-
ned between flammable objects e.g. curtains, towels or heat-
sensitive plastics and the front of the unit.

Use in the bathroom

Use the device such that it is not possible for someone in the
bath or shower to touch the control elements.

In accordance with VDE 0100 Part 701, the device must not be
fitted in protected zones 0 and 1. The device must receive its
power supply via a protective residual current device (FI).

Installation of the supporting feet

Do not operate the heating device without the feet supplied
being fitted.

Model WW 101 E is supplied without casters.

Supporting feet, casters and the
two fixing screws are provided
loose.

Screw down supporting feet as
shown and attach casters if re-
quired.

Wall mounting

The heating device must be ali-
gned horizontally and installed on
a vertical wall (see illustration).

Make sure that the inflow and out-
flow of air at the top and bottom of
the device are unimpeded

- Drill fixing holes for the two wall

brackets at distance "A" and
plug.

- Screw down wall brackets and

attach heater.

3. Electrical Connection

The voltage specified on the type plate must match the local
mains voltage.

If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service or
a similarly qualified person, in order to prevent risks.

The device plug must always be accessible. In order to avoid
hazards due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching
device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regu-
larly switched on and off by the utility company.
