The CVP-49 features a built-in “sequencer” which

can be used to independently record up to three sepa-
rate parts of a single musical composition, plus a
rhythm track. Each part is recorded on one of the Per-
formance Memory “tracks” accessed via the [1], [2],
[ABC], and [RHYTHM] buttons.

• The Performance Memory playback data is not transmit-

ted via the MIDI OUT connector.

Engage the Record Ready Mode ...........................................................................................................

Press the [REC] button so that its indicator lights. The red [1] indicator should

also light at this point, indicating that you are ready to record on track 1.

NOTES

• You can record up to a maximum of about 8,000 notes (110 kilobytes) depending

on pedal usage and other factors. The [REC] button indicator will begin to flash
when the recorder memory is almost full (“FUL” will appear on the TEMPO dis-
play) and recording will stop automatically.

• The amount of remaining memory is displayed in kilobytes (approximate) when

the [REC] button is released.

Start Recording .......................................................................................................................................

Play on the keyboard. Recording will begin automatically as soon as you start

playing.

NOTES

• You can turn the metronome on before or during recording (the metronome

sound will not be recorded).

Play Back the Recording .......................................................................................................................

Press the [START/STOP] button to play back your recording. Play along on the

keyboard if you like. You can also change the playback tempo via the TEMPO []
and [] buttons.

Stop Playback .........................................................................................................................................

Playback will stop automatically when the end of the recording is reached, or

you can press the [START/STOP] button to stop it at anytime.

Stop Recording .......................................................................................................................................

Stop recording by pressing the [START/STOP] button or the [REC] button.

When recording has finished the green indicator of the recorded track will light,
indicating that the track is ready for playback.
