18. In the
Format Volume
window, select
Perform a quick format
to speed up the format, then
click
Next
. This option will complete the format in 5–10 minutes.
19. When the New Volume Wizard is complete, click
Finish
.
20. Repeat steps 14–19 for the second Terabyte. The external storage will not be available
until the format is complete. You can monitor the progress of the format from the
Computer Management page.
T To monitor the progress of the format
1. Go to
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management
.
2. Double-click
Storage
in the left pane to expand the tree.
3. Then click
Disk Management
and you can monitor the progress of the format from the
following window.
