alphabetic, they are easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on 
IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must 
translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain 
name www.example.com might translate to 198.105.232.4. 
The DNS system is, in fact, its own network. If one DNS server does not know 
how to translate a particular domain name, it asks other DNSs one by one, until 
the correct IP address is returned. 
3.4.7.1 DNS Server
In this interface, you can modify the DNS server settings.
If the Enable Automatic Assigned DNS check box is selected, this router 
accepts the first received DNS assignment from one of the PPPoA, PPPoE or 
MER/DHCP enabled PVC(s) during the connection establishment. 
If the checkbox is not selected, enter the primary and optional secondary DNS 
server IP addresses. The interface is below.
