Symptom

Possible Solutions

Screen brightness is diminished.

Video display components experience degradation of

brightness over the life of the component. Normal brightness

degradation is not covered by the warranty.

Check brightness setting
Check lamp timer

Replace lamp

The LED on the Remote Control does not

blink when a button is pressed.

Replace the batteries with two "AA" new alkaline batteries. See

The Remote Control LED blinks when a
component selection button is pressed,

but the component does not respond.

You make sure that there are less than 15 feet (4.5 meters)
from the infrared remote sensors on the component.

Nothing is blocking the infrared remote sensors on the remote

control or the component.

You have chosen the correct component selection button.

The Remote Control does not control

home entertainment components or

Changing channels does not work
properly with the Universal Remote
Control.

If original remote control required change channels does not

work properly, press ENTER on the universal remote after

entering the channel number.

The Remote Control does not work.

Check the Remote Control batteries and replace them with new
AA batteries if necessary.
Make sure that nothing is blocking the infrared remote sensors
on the remote control or the RPTV.
