Using a Password
You may set a password from the Setup Menu in
DOS. To set a password, complete the following
steps:
1.
Enter the Setup menu by pressing
Ctrl-Alt-Esc
.
2.
From the Setup Menu, press
Tab
until you reach
the Password field.
3.
Press the left or right arrow key.
A Modify Password box appears and prompts
you to type in a new password.
4.
Enter a new password of up to seven characters
and press
Enter
.
You are asked to verify the password by
retyping it.
5.
Retype the password and press
Enter
.
The password is set to Enabled and you will be
prompted for the password every time you
reboot the system
. You have three tries to
enter the correct password on powerup before
the system halts and you have to shut down.
6.
To save your changes, press
Esc-F4
.
