Getting Ready When the self-timer is used, the shutter automatically closes after the preset time (two or ten seconds).

Set the mode dial to [ ].
Press the self-timer button to scroll through the
modes until you reach the Self-timer mode.
[ ] is displayed on the LCD monitor and the status display.
Compose the picture.
Press the shutter button down halfway, and press it down fully. ➲ Page 37
The self-timer lamp blinks. The photograph is then taken after the preset time (two or ten seconds).
To cancel photography midway, press the button.
The setting is canceled when the camera is turned OFF or the Auto Power OFF function is activated.
