About SmartMedia™ (continued)
Gently insert the SmartMedia™ as far as it can go
with the SmartMedia™ electrodes (metal contacts)
facing the front of the camera.
Close the battery cover 1 , slide the release latch in
the direction of the arrow 2 and press until it clicks
shut.
Before you use a new SmartMedia™, be sure to format the
SmartMedia™ (
➲ Page 67).
Removing SmartMedia™
IMPORTANT
• Never open the battery cover or remove the SmartMedia™ while data is being recorded to the
SmartMedia™ (viewfinder lamp is light). This might damage the SmartMedia™ or corrupt the data on
the SmartMedia™.
