This is a multi-function remote controller, so many of the
buttons have two or more functions. To use all of these
functions, proceed as follows:
1 To control this unit or a connected Onkyo MD Recorder,
CD Recorder or Cassette Tape Deck, first press the
MODE RECEIVER button.
2 To control additional functions, press the SHIFT button,
then one of the numeric buttons (0-9) within 10 seconds.
3 To make settings or control a TV first press the MODE
TV/SETUP button. To control the TV, you must first Pre-
Program the TV signal. For Programming instructions
see page 83.
Press MODE RECEIVER first to use these buttons.
