Copy Mask Protection
(requires Copy Data Security opt)
This feature prevents unauthorised copying of
confidential documents by overlaying the
original print with an embedded masking
pattern. If copied the masking pattern comes
to the fore making other information on the
document illegible.
Scanner and fax functions are disabled if this
feature is installed.
Data Over Write Security
(requires DOS option)
This feature overwrites temporary data held on
the hard disk drive with random data. The
random data is overwritten twice to ensure
that the original data can not be recovered.
This method of data overwrite is the USA
Department of Defence
standard and is
commonly used in
PC security.
