Choice of Controllers
With the Aficio MP C6000 and MP C7500
customers have the choice of an embedded
GW print controller, an embedded Fiery print
controller and an external Fiery print controller.
The choice means that the machine can be
configured to meet the operational and quality
needs of the customer. A brief summary of the
controller option is provided below. More
detailed information is provided in the relevant
section of this guide.
Ground Works (GW) Controller
The GW print controller is best suited for
general office print applications like the
production of letters, reports and presentations
using standard Windows packages such as
Word, Excel and Powerpoint. The drivers
supplied with the Ricoh controller are easy to
use and provide a simple print interface for
good quality “office” colour.

Fiery E-7100 and E-8100 Controllers
The Fiery print controllers are best suited to
production environments for applications like
the short run brochure printing, mailing pieces
and presentation graphics. Fiery drivers are a
little more complex to use but do provide
greater control over colour settings and print
queues. The Fiery controllers have a standard
PostScript driver; a priced option for the GW
controller. PostScript is essential in Mac
environments and advantageous where
advanced Desktop Publishing Applications like
Quark and Adobe InDesign are used.
