Get started
Install SIM card and battery
Always switch the device off and disconnect the
charger before removing the battery.
For availability and information on using SIM card
services, contact your SIM card vendor. This may be the
service provider or other vendor.
This phone is intended for use with a BL-4CT battery.
Always use original Nokia batteries.
The SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by
scratches or bending, so be careful when handling,
inserting, or removing the card.
Important: To release the SIM card lock, always
remove the battery before you insert or remove the SIM
card.

Open the back cover (1, 2) and remove the battery

Insert a microSD card
Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia
for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry
standards for memory cards, but some brands may not
be fully compatible with this device. Incompatible
cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt
data stored on the card.
1. Remove the back cover of the phone.
