Adjusting initial settings

Initial settings lets you perform initial setup of

different settings for this unit.

1 Function display

Shows the function names.

1 Touch the source icon and then touch

OFF to turn this unit off.

# When the source icon is not displayed, you
can display it by touching the screen.

2 Press A.MENU button and touch INIT to

display the initial function names.

The function names are displayed and oper-

able ones are highlighted.

# To go to the next group of function names,
touch NEXT.
# To return to the previous group of function
names, touch PREV.
# When the multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-
P6600) is connected to this unit, you can operate
D. ATT and RESET instead of REARSP.
# To return to the previous display, touch BACK.
# To return to the display of each source, touch
ESC.

Setting the FM tuning step

Normally the FM tuning step employed by

seek tuning is 50 kHz. When AF or TA is on,

the tuning step automatically changes to 100

kHz. It may be preferable to set the tuning step

to 50 kHz when AF is on.

% Touch FMSTEP on the initial menu to se-

lect the FM tuningstep.

Touching FMSTEP will switch the FM tuning

step between 50 kHz and 100 kHz while AF or

TA is on. The selected FM tuning step will ap-

pear in the display.

Note

The tuning step remains at 50 kHz during manual
tuning.

Switching Auto PI Seek

The unit can automatically search for a differ-

ent station with the same programming, even

during preset recall.

% Touch AUTOPI on the initial menu to

turn Auto PI Seek on.

# To turn Auto PI Seek off, touch AUTOPI
again.

Switching the warning tone

If the front panel is not detached from the

head unit within five seconds of turning off the

ignition, a warning tone will sound. You can

turn off the warning tone.

% Touch D. WARN on the initial menu to

turn warningtone on.

# To turn warning tone off, touch D. WARN
again.
