To perform a consultative transfer:
1. During a call, tap the Transfer soft key or press . The active call is
placed on hold.
The Transfer to: screen displays.
2. Place a call to the party to whom you want to transfer the call. See
Placing Calls on page 3-6 .
3. When you hear the ring-back sound, tap the Transfer soft key or press
. If you want to talk privately to the person to whom you are
transferring the call before the transfer is complete, wait until the person
answers the call, talk to the person, and then tap the Transfer soft key or
press .
If you are using a handset, the transfer can be completed by putting the
handset on the cradle.
You can cancel the transfer before the call connects by tapping the
Cancel soft key.
