# You cannot select subwoofer left and subwoo-
fer right when the subwoofer output is off.

Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down to
adjust the distance between the selected
speaker and the listening position.
Each time
MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or
down, the distance increases or decreases.
400.00cm to 0.00cm is displayed as the dis-
tance is increased or decreased, if you have
selected centimeters (
cm).
160.0inch to 0.0inch is displayed as the dis-
tance is increased or decreased, if you have
selected inches (
inch).
# You can adjust the distance for the other
speakers in the same way.

Press BAND to cancel the time align-
ment mode.
Using subwoofer output
This unit is equipped with a subwoofer output
which can be turned on or off. When a sub-
woofer is connected to this unit, turn the sub-
woofer output on.
The subwoofer output phase can be switched
between normal and reverse.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
Subwoofer1.
Subwoofer1 appears in the display.
# You can also select the subwoofer setting
menu by pressing
SW on the unit.

Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn subwoo-
fer output on.
ON appears in the display. Subwoofer output
is now on.
# To turn subwoofer output off, press
MULTI-CONTROL again.

Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select stereo or monaural.
Push
MULTI-CONTROL left to select monaural
and
MONO appears in the display. Push
MULTI-CONTROL right to select stereo and
STEREO appears in the display.
Adjusting subwoofer settings
When the subwoofer output is on, you can ad-
just the cut-off frequency and the output level
of the subwoofer.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
Subwoofer2.
Subwoofer2 appears in the display.
# You can also select the subwoofer setting
menu by pressing
SW on the unit.
# When the subwoofer output is on, you can se-
lect
Subwoofer2.

Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select cut-off frequency.
Each time
MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, cut-off frequencies are selected in the
following order:
50
—63—80—100—125—160—200 (Hz)
Only frequencies lower than those in the se-
lected range are outputted from the subwoo-
fer.

Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down to
adjust the output level of the subwoofer.
Each time
MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or
down, subwoofer level increases or decreases.
+6 to
–24 is displayed as the level is increased
or decreased.
