Connecting CAT-5 Cable
The next step to configuring ProjectionLink is connecting the
transmitter and receiver with a CAT-5 cable. Wiring for Projec-
tionLink must be a CAT-5, four-pair, solid, plenum rated cable.
Also make sure your cabling conforms to the TIA 568B stan-
dard. Use the following illustration as a guide to attach your
CAT-5 cable to a RJ45 connector:
CAT-5 Configuration
It is possible to connect the transmitter and receiver in lengths
up to 300 feet. Use the following steps to connect the transmit-
ter to the receiver:
1. Select the length of cable needed for the installation. Make
sure to allow enough cable length for minor position
adjustments.
2. Connect one end of the CAT-5 cable to the Projector con-
nection on the transmitter.
3. Connect the other end of the CAT-5 cable to the corre-
sponding connection on the receiver.
