34 Timer Recording with the VCR Plus+ Programming System (cont’d)
5 Press K or L until your desired channel number
appears. Then, press B.
● If you are using a standard antenna/Cable TV hookup (as
shown on page 9), select the channel of the TV program
you want to record.
●
If you are recording from other equipment, select L 1 or L2.
To determine L 1 or L2, refer to the Helpful Hints on page
28.
● If you are using a Cable Box/Satellite Receiver, select the
Cable Box/Satellite Receiver output channel (03 or 04).
Then, at the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver, select the channel
you want to record. Leave the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver
on for the timer recording.

The channel set here will be memorized as the User
Channel for the station you selected at the Cable
Box/Satellite Receiver, and saved in the GUIDE CHANNEL
MAP automatically.
6 Press K or L until your desired tape speed appears.
(Example: SP) There are cases in which the program
information does not match your area. If the incorrect
information appears, select the number you want to change
using s.Then, enter the correct numbers using K or L.
7 Press CLEAR.
8 Press TIMER SET. The DVD/VCR will turn off and “ ”
will appear on the front of the DVD/VCR. In some cases,
the DVD/VCR will switch to DVD mode instead.You may
use the DVD Player during a timer recording.
If you want to use the VCR until time for the recording,
don’t press TIMER SET until a few minutes before the
recording should start. Or, press TIMER SET only when you
know you won’t be using the VCR anymore (until after the
recording).When “
” is on, you cannot put the DVD/VCR
in VCR mode by pressing VCR or SOURCE.You must first
press TIMER SET to cancel the timer recording temporarily.
Then, you can use the VCR features again.
