SmartNode 5200 Getting Started Guide
C • Cabling
Introduction
This section provides information on the cables used to connect the SmartNode and the interface cards to the
existing network infrastructure and to third party products.
Ethernet
Ethernet devices (10Base-T/100Base-T) are connected to the SmartNode over a cable with RJ-45 plugs. All
Ethernet ports on the SN5200 & SN4562 are Auto-MDX and use any straight or crossover cable to connect to
hubs, switches, PCs or other devices.
