BROIL
Broil uses an intense heat radiated from the upper heating element. The Broil function works best when broiling
thing tender cuts of meat (1” or less), poultry or fish.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• Your oven is designed for CLOSE DOOR Broiling
• Meat probe cannot be used with this mode
Before Broiling.
Place the meat or fish on the broiler grid of the
broiler pan.
Follow suggested shelf positions in the Broiling Guide.
The oven door must be closed during broiling
NOTE:
If the oven door is opened when broiling, the control
will display “Close the door to continue broil”
promptly. A warning beep will occur every 15 seconds
until the door is closed.
To set the oven to Broil.
Touch BROIL once for Hi broil or
twice for Lo broil.
Touch START. The oven will
begin to broil.
Broil on one side until food is
browned; turn and cook on the
other side.
NOTE:
Always pull the rack out to the
stop position before turning or
removing food.
When broiling is finished, touch
CLEAR/OFF.
Touch CLEAR/OFF to cancel Broil at any time.
Tips for broiling:
• Preheat oven 5~7 minutes for best broiling results.
• Brush fish and poultry with butter or oil to prevent
sticking.
• Always use the broiler pan and grid that came with
your oven. Do not cover the grid with aluminum foil.
The broiler grid is designed to prevent smoking and
spattering by trapping juices (fats and oils) from
foods in the lower part of the broiling pan.
• Use Broil LO to broil foods such as poultry and thick
cuts of meat to cook thoroughly with out over
cooking them.
NOTE:
• During oven operation, it is possible that the oven
cooling fan will operate to cool the control panel.
This is normal operation.
CAUTION
• Should an oven fire occur, leave the oven door
closed and turn the oven off. If the fire
continues, throw baking soda on the fire or
use a fire extinguisher.
• DO NOT put water or flour on the fire.
- Flour may be explosive and water can cause a
grease fire to spread and cause personal injury.
• DO NOT use the broiler pan without the grid.
• DO NOT cover the grid with aluminum foil.
