Recording (digital input)

To pause recording

Play the CD player.

¶ To record music with a margin from the beginning, it is

recommended to start the CD playback after the time
display of the MD recorded has started the count.

During CD recording, the track number is sometimes incremented by 1 when the CD starts to be
played. This is caused by a signal contained in the digital signal components recorded on the CD.
Unnecessary track numbers can be deleted by referring to “Erasing several tracks at a time (QUICK
ERASE)” or “Erasing a single track during playback (TRACK ERASE)”.

¶ Press the key again to resume recording. At this time,

the track number is incremented by “1”.

¶ Recording can also be started by pressing the ¶ key.

After recording, eject the Mini Disc.

(Main unit only)

While “WRITING” is displayed, do not ap-
ply shock or vibration to the unit because
information is being written on the Mini
Disc.

In regard to the MONITOR key

¶ When the sampling frequency of the digital input signal

is not 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 32 kHz, “UNLOCK” will be
displayed and no sound will be heard.

“MONITOR” Lights

The sound of commercial digital equipment (BS tuner, DAT, etc.) connected to DIGITAL 2 can be monitored. However,
when this unit is used as a general single component, the input source (sound) selected by REC INPUT can be heard.
