Testing Extended Memory
1.
Check that the power switch is off, plug the power cord into the printer, and turn the power on.
2.
Wait for the printer's ON LINE indicator to light and the message display to read Ready, and
press the STATUS key.
3.
If installation has been performed properly, a status page will be printed. Check the Memory in
the upper right. Information on the SIMMs installed in slot 1 and slot 2 is shown here. There is
no problem if total memory has increased. (The printer is shipped from the factory with 16384
KB [16 MB] of memory.)
