J Under no circumstances should you use the ap-
pliance when it is wet and / or in a moist envi-
ronment (e.g. with very wet grass)!
Important! Avoid dangers
to life and limb:
J Do not leave small children unsupervised with
the packaging material! It presents a real danger
of suffocation!
J Always keep uninvolved persons and
animals away from the appliance!
J Take steps to ensure that people and
animals are not injured by objects
catapulted away by the appliance!
The appliance operator is responsible for inju-
ries sustained by third parties and for damage
caused to their property!
J The curved blade bar 21 continues
to rotate after switch off!
J Caution! Sharp cutting edge!
Avoid ALL physical contact with the
sharp and fast-rotating curved blade
bar 21 ! Especially when switching on, maintain
an adequate safety distance from the curved
blade bar with your feet
21 !
J Drive the appliance with forward movements only,
with both hands on the steering shaft handle

J Under no circumstances should you pull the
appliance towards you!
J Avoid tilting or lifting the appliance when it is
switched on! Only mow when the front wheels
13 and the rear wheels 16 have contact with
the ground!
J Remove the plug from the wall socket:
- before every cutting height adjustment
- before assembly or transportation
- before attempting to free a possibly blocked
curved blade bar 21 .
Ensure, by visually checking, that the curved
blade bar
21 has come to a complete stop.
J Be especially careful when adjusting or ex-
changing the curved blade bar
21 that your fin-
gers do not become trapped between the knife
and immobile components on the appliance!
J Use protective equipment / clothing:
Safety shoes (closed, with non-slip
profile soles)!
Protective gloves for: Assembly,
maintenance, cleaning and trouble-
shooting!
Long-legged trousers - Under no circumstances
should your legs or feet be uncovered!
J Avoid falls!:
- Be aware of having safe standing, especially
on slopes.
- Push the appliance with walking speeds only!
Do not run or hurry!
- Work sloped stretches from side to side only,
not from top to bottom!
- Ensure you have safe standing on changes of
direction and reverse movements!
J Under no circumstances should you work:
Steep slopes / Balcony or roof areas / Step-
ways /Gravel or hardcore areas / Plant or flow-
er tubs resp. boxes / River or canal side cultiva-
tions /Snow and ice areas!
J Never lift the impact protection flap 11 when
the appliance is switched on! It could happen
that objects are catapulted from the clippings
ejection shaft

J Never place yourself before the clippings
ejection shaft 19 .
J Use the appliance only when there are ade-
quate visibility conditions, e.g. daylight or an
artificial light source!
J Never leave the appliance unsupervised!
Disconnect the appliance from the power source
for extended breaks and when it is not in use.
J Store the appliance in a dry area, protected
from non-permitted use.

J Before taking it into use, check that all compo-nents
are present and undamaged! Use the appliance
only when it is complete and correctly assembled!
