TARGET AF

Target-AF focus frame

The target AF is ideal for moving subjects. The
camera continually calculates the focus even
when the shutter-release button is held partway
down. Predictive focus control ensures someone
moving toward the camera will be in focus;
predictive focus control adjusts the focus during
the slight delay between the time the shutter
button is pressed and the exposure is made.

3. Press and hold the shutter-release button

partway down until the green focus lamp
glows.

• Target AF has no focus-lock function. The camera

continuously calculates focus while the shutter
button is held partway down.

• Predictive focus control is activated when the focus

lamp glows.

• If the subject becomes too close, the green focus

lamp blinks rapidly and the shutter will not release.
Repeat the procedure from step 2.

4. Press the shutter-release button all the way down to take the

picture.
