Your Samsung phone allows you to control your ability to roam.
Here is what you’ll see: When you are in your service provider’s
Digital PCS network you are not roaming and so no icons
display; in other CDMA networks the
displays; in analog
cellular networks both
and
display.
Your roaming ability is determined by the roaming setting you
make.
The three roaming settings are:

Automatic: The phone will search for digital service
first. If digital service is not available, it will search for
analog service automatically.
♦
Digital PCS: Service is limited to your service provider’s
digital PCS network, and digital and analog roaming are
not allowed.
♦
Analog: The phone operates in Analog mode only, and
can only roam in Analog mode. The phone will revert to
Sprint PCS or Automatic (depending on your setting) at
the next power-up.
To set your phone’s roaming ability:
1.
Press
to display the Main Menu.
2.
Press
for Roaming.
3.
Press the scroll keys to scan the three options.When the
desired roaming method displays, press
to save the
setting or
to exit without saving.

Your phone can be set to display a message when a roaming call
is about to be placed or received. To change this setting:
1.
Press
to display the Main Menu.
2.
Press
for Roaming.
3.
Press
for Call Guard and scroll to select yes or no.
4.
When the desired option displays, press
to save the
setting or
to exit without saving.
