Installing additional fonts
For power users only!
• Download and install Free Type component, which enables support for True Type fonts (TTF) on the
phone. Link: http://www.symbian.com/developer/downloads/files/FreeType.zip
FreeType.sys file should be installed from PC (installation will fail if you try to upload the file on the
phone and install it there).
• Create D:\System\Fonts folder (use PC File Manager ).
• Copy any TTF fonts there (e.g. from C:\Windows\Fonts folder on the PC).
• Turn off/on the phone.
Removing additional fonts
• Rename D:\System\Fonts folder into Fonts2.
• Turn off/on the phone.
• Delete D:\System\Fonts2 folder.
Making e-books
Handy Book Converter is a PC utility for making e-books from text files. It is supplied together with
Handy Book.
Handy Book Converter not only converts text files into e-books (Palm DOC format), but also has several
useful functions. It can:
• Remove useless (forced) line breaks
• Add bookmarks
• Reformat text
• Copy the resulting e-book to your phone
Usage
1. Install Handy Book Converter on the PC.
2. Start Handy Book Converter via Start Menu > Programs > Epocware.
3. Select a text file and press Next.
4. Check Turn on Clear Text to reformat the text file before converting it into an e-book. Press
Options to change formatting options. Press Next.
