When the Inbox menu option is selected, the list of
messages received is displayed with the:
• Sender’s phone number (or name if stored in the
phonebook)
• Message status (
for a read message or
for
an unread message)
To view a message, scroll to it and press the
soft
key. The screen shows the:
• Date and time at which the message was received
• Memory in which the message was stored (
for
your SIM card or
for the phone memory)
• Message contents
To scroll through the message contents, press the
or key.
To scroll through messages that include images or
melodies, press the
,
,
or key. When you
focus on an object that includes a melody, the melody
is played.
You can choose the following options, by pressing
the
soft key.
Delete: allows you to delete the message.
Send: allows you to send the message to another
person.
Edit: allows you to edit the message.
Transfer: allows you to transfer the message from
your SIM card to the phone memory.
Call back: allows you to call the sender back.
Cut number: extracts a number from the message, so
that you can call the number or save it in the
phonebook.
Extract media: saves media items, such as sounds or
images, from the message into your phone’s media box.
You can use these items when writing a message; for
further details, see page 66.
Message reply: allows you to reply by sending a text
message.
Chatting: allows you to have a conversation with
another person using text messages; for further details,
refer to page 69.
Outbox

The outbox stores any messages that you have already
sent or just saved without sending.
When the Outbox menu option is selected, the list of
messages you have sent or saved is displayed with the:
• Recipient’s phone number (or name if stored in the
phonebook)
• Message status (
for a sent message or
for an
unsent message)
To view a message, scroll to it and press the
soft
key. The screen shows the:
• Message status (Sent or To Send)
• Memory in which the message was stored (
for
your SIM card or
for the phone memory)
• Message text
