Caring for your phone
Wipe the base unit and handset with a damp cloth or
antistatic cloth. Never use a dry cloth. There is a risk
of static charge.
Troubleshooting
Should your phone not be doing what you want it to
do, try to solve the problem yourself with the help of
the following list.
Problem Possible
cause Solution
Nothing appears
on the display. The batteries are
empty. Charge or re-
place the batter-
ies. (see page 8).
No response to
keystroke. The key lock is
switched on. Hold down the

No radio link to
the base unit –
the following
message
appears on the
display:
"SEARCH BASE".
The handset is
outside the
range of the
base unit.
The handset is
not registered
with the base
unit.
The base unit is
not switched on.
Reduce the dis-
tance between
the handset and
the base unit.
Register the
handset with the
base unit (see
page 13).
Check the power
plug on the base
unit
(see page 6).
The number of
the caller is not
displayed in spite
of CLIP (see
page 11). Number trans-
mission is
disabled. The caller must
apply to the
network provider
to have his or her
number trans-
mitted.
