Single elements have only one size cooking surface.
Choose the correct element.
Choose a pan that matches the size of the element.
On these elements, the size can be changed. The element must be turned on.
To turn off the outer ring:
Touch the l symbol. The indicator lamp goes out.
To turn on:
Touch the l symbol again. The indicator lamp comes on.
With this type of element, you can turn off the middle and outer ring. The element
must be turned on.
To turn off the outer ring:
Touch the Q symbol. The indicator lamp goes out.
To turn off the middle ring:
Touch the Q symbol again. The indicator lamp goes out.
When you turn the element on again, all of the heating rings will be on.
The bridge element connects two separate elements to create one long element.
This shape is ideal for griddles or roasters.
Turning on the bridge element:
Touch the ø symbol. The indicator lamp lights up. On the temperature setting
displays, both elements flash 0. Within 5 seconds, slide your finger across the slider
panel until the desired temperature level appears in the element displays.
Changing the temperature level:
Touch the ø symbol and select the new temperature level within 5 seconds.
Turning off the bridge element:
Touch the ø symbol.
The cooktop has a hot surface indicator for each element. It shows you which
elements are still hot. The hot surface indicator has two levels.
If an H is shown on the display, the element is still hot. You could use it, for example,
to keep a small quantity of food warm or to melt a chocolate coating.
As the element continues to cool, the display changes to h. The display goes out
once the element has cooled sufficiently.
The hot surface indicator will automatically come on after a power failure. The
display light's up for approximately 30 minutes.
