SHOOTING IN THE BASIC MODE
In the BASIC mode the number of settings the user has to deal with are few,
making it easy for the novice digital camera operator to enjoy taking photos. It
is recommended that the user who is new to digital camera operation or not
familiar with the various settings take photos using the basic settings of this
mode.
Switching between the operation modes
This camera allows you to choose between two operation modes: in the
BASIC mode, you can enjoy taking photos while letting the camera adjust the
settings automatically; in the EXPERT mode, you have control of all the
camera settings. Select the operation mode for the type of photography you
enjoy.

Set the desired shooting mode (see page 41), and press the MENU
button.

The BASIC Mode or EXPERT Mode Shooting Setting Screen appears.

] on the arrow button twice.

The operation mode is switched.

To return to the initial operation mode, again press [
