WARNINGS
• DO NOT install any unit in locations
where;
– it may obstruct the steering wheel and
gearshift lever operations, as this may
result in a traffic accident.
– it may obstruct the operation of safety
devices such as air bags, as this may
result in a fatal accident.
– it may obstruct visibility.
• DO NOT operate any unit while
manipulating the steering wheel, as this
may result in a traffic accident.
• DO NOT register or record the voice
commands while driving, as this may
result in a traffic accident.
• If you need to operate the receiver while
driving, be sure to look ahead carefully
or you may be involved in a traffic
accident.
How to use the number buttons:
After pressing MODE BAND, the number buttons work as different function buttons (while
“MODE” remains on the display).
To use these buttons as number buttons after pressing MODE BAND, wait for 5
seconds without pressing any number
button so that “MODE” disappears from
the display.
• Pressing MODE BAND again also
erases “MODE” from the display.
To activate the display demonstration
While holding DISP, press
¢
until “DEMO” appears on the lower
part of the display.
Various functions and display illumination modes equipped for this
unit will be demonstrated repeatedly in sequence. During the display
demonstration, “DEMO” flashes on the lower part of the display.
To turn off the display demonstration, press
¢
again for a few seconds again while
holding DISP.
• The display demonstration will turn off automatically after 1 hour.
CAUTION on Volume Setting
CDs produce very little noise compared with other sources. If the volume level is adjusted for the
tuner, for example, the speakers may be damaged by the sudden increase in the output level. Therefore,
lower the volume before playing a disc and adjust it as required during playback.
