Maintaining your television

To clean your television screen:
1
Unplug your television to avoid possible

shock hazard.

2 Use a damp cloth or clean cellulose sponge

to clean your television screen and trim. Do
not let water spill into the cabinet or damage
may occur.

3 Wipe off any excess moisture with a clean

dry cloth.

4 Polish the cabinet with a quality furniture

polish to maintain the finish and appearance
of the cabinet.

Troubleshooting

The most common types of television
interference are as follows:

Warning

Television sets use high voltage. Do not try to remove the back
of the cabinet yourself. There are no user serviceable parts
inside. Opening the cabinet could void your warranty. Refer
servicing to qualified service technicians.

Caution

Never use strong solvents (such as thinner, benzene, or other
chemicals) on or near the cabinet. These chemicals can
damage the cabinet finish.

Notes

If your television does not operate as expected, unplug the
power, then plug it back in.

Displaying a still picture for a long period of time will cause
the image to “stick” if the input signal is interlaced. The
stuck image disappears when you briefly turn your
television off.
