Safety and General Information
• An extension cord should not be used with any
battery charger unless absolutely necessary.
Use of an improper extension cord could result
in a risk of fire and electric shock. If an extension
cord must be used, make sure that:
• The pins on the plug of the extension cord are
the same number, size, and shape as those
on the plug of the charger.
• The extension cord is properly wired and in
good electrical condition.
• The cord size is 18AWG for lengths up to 100
feet and 16AWG for lengths up to 150 feet.
• Do not operate any battery charger if it has
received a sharp blow, has been dropped, or
has been damaged in any way; take it to a
qualified service technician.
• Do not disassemble a battery charger; take it to
a qualified service technician when service or
repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may
result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
• Maximum ambient temperature around the
power supply or transformer of any battery
charger should not exceed 40°C (104°F).
• The output power from the power supply or
transformer must not exceed the rating given on
the Desktop Dual-Pocket Charger.
• The disconnection from the line voltage is made
by unplugging the power supply from the AC
receptacle.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug any
battery charger from the outlet before attempting
any maintenance or cleaning.
For optimum charging performance, turn off the
radio product while charging it in any battery
charger.
