Waste unit
^ Lift the waste unit up and out.
^ Clean the waste unit by hand with hot
water and liquid dish soap and dry
with a soft cloth.
^ Push the waste unit back into place,
positioning it over the notches.
If "Empty waste unit" appears in
the message window after cleaning,
the waste unit was not seated
correctly. Reposition the unit. Close
the door and press ENTER.
The appliance will not operate when
this message appears.
Steam nozzle
Clean the steam nozzle after every use
as dried milk residues are difficult to
clean.
^ Loosen the upper screw, a, and pull
the sleeve of the steam nozzle down,

^ Clean the sleeve with warm water
and liquid dish soap (or in the
dishwasher) and dry.
^ Slide the sleeve onto the steam
nozzle,
a, and tighten the screw, b.
